This publication is designed as a reference work but also as a learning guide for . The aim is to address the complexity in the language of wine through a selection and precise conceptual definition of 1,200 words and phrases used by professionals. Defined terms are grouped into four skill areas: viticulture, oenology, tasting and wine commerce, so that each reader dig deeper into the knowledge of those terms that are not related to its task. Regarding the growing and unstoppable globalization of the wine sector this bilingual edition is presented.
ERNESTO DE SERDI (Seville, 1966) has a degree in Economics (Universidad Complutense de Madrid) and postgraduate studies at the European School of Management (ESCP Europe). Since 1992 he has been linked professionally to the wine sector as an entrepreneur, manager, producer and writer. He has worked in companies such as Pedro Domecq, Reserva y Cata, and Hispanobodegas Vinartis Group. Currently he works as a consultant and advisor to various wineries, especially in regard to their international strategies.
