In 2023, the average monthly income in money and in kind, per a household (all households), amounted to 87 973 RSD and the individual consumption expenditures of the households (all households) amounted to 88 244 RSD. Relative to 2022, the average monthly income in money and in kind increased by 12.2% and the individual consumption expenditures of the households increased also by 12.2% in nominal terms.
In February 2024, the number of 1 797 building permits was issued, presenting the increase of 0.6% when compared to February 2023. Out of the total number of permits issued in February 2024, 80.5% related to buildings, and 19.5% to civil engineering constructions. When only buildings are concerned, 77.2% of permits related to residential buildings, and 22.8% to non–residential ones, while regarding civil engineering constructions the largest number related to pipelines, communication and electric power lines (65.8%).
Prices of goods and services used for personal consumption in March 2024 in relation to February 2024 increased by 0.3% on average.
Producer prices of agricultural and fishing products in February 2024, compared to the same month of 2023 were decreased by 18.0% average.
The overall external trade in the Republic of Serbia for the period January-February 2024 amounted to:
- USD 11459.2 million - which was an increase of 1.7% compared to the same period last year;
- EUR 10550.3 million - which was an increase of 0.6% compared to the same period last year.
According to the preliminary results, the turnover of retail trade in the Republic of Serbia in February 2024, compared to the same month last year, increased by 14.4% at current prices and at constant prices, by 8,8%.
In the Republic of Serbia, in February 2024, compared to February 2023, the number of tourist arrivals was by 9.2 % greater, while number of tourist overnight stays was by 1.7 % greater.
In February 2024, compared to February 2023, the number of overnight stays of domestic tourists was by 2.1 % greater while number of overnight stays of foreign tourists was by 1.2% greater.
The number of all road motor vehicles and trailers registered in 2023 in the Republic of Serbia recorded increase relative to the number of registered vehicles in 2022, by 2.5%. Decrease was noted regarding mopeds, buses and special purpose motor vehicles.
Among domestic trademarks, the largest number of registered passenger cars was produced by Zastava trademark. Regarding foreign trademarks, the following manufacturers were the most notable: Volkswagen, Opel, Fiat, Renault, Peugeot, Audi, Ford and Citroen.
