An explanatory note to a freight surcharge explaining that it is to be calculated in the same manner as the freight charge itself. Bunker adjustment factors are usually calculated on an “as freighted” basis. By contrast, currency adjustment factors are based on the total amount of freight payable, rather than on the number of revenue tons.
