Software licence contract.

Under this contract the owner of the exploitation rights on a computer programme (Licensor), authorises a third party (Licensee) to use same, in return for a price. The main characteristic is that the Licensor continues to retain ownership of the software, which is why it is important to stipulate that the Licensor conveys to the Licensee a right of use as regards certain software and not the ownership thereof. There are different types of software use licenses, albeit the most common is the assignment of the rights of use as regards the computer programme in a non-exclusive manner without the possibility of the assignment of said right to third parties by the licensee. The consideration is the price paid by the licensee, the client, for the use of the computer programme. Generally the consideration for the use license shall be one-off or annual and said payment shall be made at the time of purchase. Model of Software License Contract.
